Blog stats
Why would there be no stats showing up for me? I am sure that I must have had some visitors since I set it up, but it is still showing big fat zeros.

Doris, I have no idea why your stats aren't showing. The wizzy Wib boys may be able to enlighten you. I just wanted to reassure you that you have had at least one visitor. I read every word you write :-)

Has anyone noticed the new little things in the main statistics report screen? There's more to come, too...

Yes, I've noticed we now get three kinds of time ranges!! Is it in a different time zone to the UK? I ask, because it's now 15.25, and the last hour shown in the 24 hour thingummy is 07.00 a.m..

yes! impressive indeed - some very special charts and graphs and things have appeared...lots of hours and zones, date range reports & whiz-tech bells & whistles. there's more???!?! thrilled indeed to see what unfolds : )
p.s. i enjoy the last one - the browser data...because Firefox is beating IE at least 2:1 (Safari is a far 3rd, then Opera, lastly Mozilla...what is a Mozilla anyway? makes me think of a huge gorilla loose in NY city climbing buildings & snatching beautiful young women)- Posted 9 months ago #
rain, you're very close about Mozilla. It's actually the company that has made Firefox (they do another browser just called "Mozilla"), but I guarantee some of the geeks that work their look - and perhaps smell - like huge gorillas.

Was hoping that there would be instructions, as i am having the same problem as Auntie Doris was, apperently noone ever visits my blog, i know this isn't true as sometimes there are comments!! What do i need to do to get stats?

The problem ages ago was that the stats didn't work with particular blog themes, but when we pointed it out Chris was able to go in and sort out the stats for each individual theme. I don't think any other blog uses the one you do, which is why it's probably not been fixed, but now you've pointed it out hopefully he'll do it soon. It's the kind of thing that writing instrucions for would be dangerous, because we all (except Chris) would break it :)

Just a FYI Chris: on the Options for the Blog Statistics, I cannot change it to my local time. The latest time shown now is 8:00am 24th Sept, while here it is 1:00pm 24th Sept. Just FYI: not important -- I run off GMT as a devotee of the BBC World Service. :D

Am I the only one whose stats seem to have frozen at about Feb 3rd? I know I've had SOME visitors since then because people have commented! It's possible I'm doing something wrong of course. In fact I'd say it's more than likely, but I can't work out what it is. :-S

worldwithoutend: mine are still working.
At a completely uneducated guess, was that the date you changed your blog theme? I had a blog theme for a little while that for some reason stopped my stats; as soon as I changed it they started appearing again.
As I said...a completely uneducated guess, but just thought I'd throw it in.

Oh dear, I bet you're right. I'll have a bash at switching to my old theme just to see thestats, but I guess it won't be recording them at all, rather than just not showing. Thank you for your input, Ian!

Yes, as ian says it's almost certainly to do with your theme. I thought I'd fixed them all but obviously not. Can you tell me which new theme you switched to on 3rd Feb, please? I'll make sure it's beaten into submission.

The theme I switched to on Feb 3rd was Classy Pink 1.0 by Tricia Valdez. Sorry it's taken me so long to answer you, I knew it was pink!
